Photos in this gallery:
- Bald Eagles mate for life.

- In this rarely observed annual courtship behavior, this pair of Bald Eagles flew high above the fast-flowing waters of the Susquehanna River, quickly locked talons, and then akin to two Olympic ice skating dancing pairs, rapidly spun each other about all the while spiraling downward in a ritual aerial display called a "Cartwheel Courtship" or "Death Spiral".
- About 100 feet above the water they each released their tight grasp and flew off before hitting the water.
- This 17-shot sequence took only 1.5 seconds before the pair released their locked talons and flew off.
